Who  are we?

"Bringing Restoration” is a project based in Adelaide that
is raising funds for worthwhile causes/organisations and non profit groups in order to help others in need within the Adelaide Community and beyond.

What are we doing?

We are in the process now of planning an all day concert to raise funds for the Cancer Council SA.  The idea is that there will be over 10 different artists.  After each artists performs the bucket will be passed around for people to donate an amount for Cancer Council SA between $0 -$5 depending on how they rate the performance.  People will be able to come and go as they like but there will be a $5 -10 entry fee to cover cost of venue hire.   

I estimate beside the artists that are playing I will need a team of at least 15 -20 people throughout the year to assist with organising and promoting event.  Therefore if you are looking for a worthwhile project to give some of your skills/time too then please consider us. 

Why?
My initial motivation for this project is that I had my own experience with the floods in Toowoomba on 10th January, 2011.  After what I experienced & saw I had a desire to help others whom had been affected by the floods in Qld.  We did this through various fundraising activities including a Charity Concert on 23 Sept, 2011.

Then in March 2012 I was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer and after having surgery in Mid March I started Chemo therapy in April.  During a recent period of hospitalisation a friend encouraged me to think about doing another concert and think whom I want to raise funds for.   Therefore I decided to change "Bringing Restoration" to an ongoing project that will hopefully benefit many others through the fundraising we will do.

Considering all I experienced during treatment and the
fact I personally know others who have been affected by cancer and speak so highly of the Cancer Council it seemed obvious to me whom we should fundraise for next.

Further Info

This project which is based in Adelaide has been faced with many challenges and despite my own physical limitations and health issues I have persevered through these challenges.  However we are stilling needing more volunteers with some of the following skills:

·      Graphic Arts/Sign Writing
·      Desktop Publishing
·      Song Writing
·      Performing Artists
·      Marketing & Promotional Skills.
